Blessing Meditation
Introduction: this is about blessing the 4 worlds: body,
emotions, mind and spirit.
There are 4 mantras involved, one for each part.
I suggest you use the following, although you can modify
them if you wish to:
On the in breath, say I am blessed
On the out breath say: with this body.
The 2nd. mantra will be:
I am blessed ... with these emotions.
The 3rd mantra will be:
I am blessed ...with this mind.
The 4th mantra will be:
I am blessed...with this spirit.
1. Meditation on the body
Sitting in your chair. Close eyes. Place your hands on your
diaphragm. On the in breath, say I am blessed. On the out breath say: with this
body. Do this for about 5 mins. If your arms get tired, lower them.
2. Meditation on the emotions
Sitting in your chair. Place your right hand on your heart
and your left hand over it. Use the mantra “I am blessed ... with these
emotions. Do this for about 5 min. If your arms get tired, lower them.
3. Meditation on the intellect
Sitting in you chair. Close eyes. Take off glasses. Place
right hand on Daat (knowledge) point,
which is also known as the third eye,
the other hand over it. Use the mantra: I am blessed ...with this mind. Do this
for about 5 min. If your arms get
tired, place them in your lap and continue with the mantra.
4. Meditation on the spirit.
Stay seated. Turn palms upwards, either resting the backs of
hands on your knees or holding hands in
the air. Use the mantra: I am blessed...with this spirit. Do this for
about 5 min. If you arms get
tired, rest the backs of your hands on your knees.
5. Now let your thoughts go, do nothing, just absorb the
experience of the meditation you have been through, for about 5 min.
6. Now bring your attention back into the room; wriggle your
fingers and toes and when ready slowly open your eyes.
