Predators

I have heard of chickens being taken by Tasmanian Devils and Quolls at night but we are not sure who has taken ours. It's a sad thing to find a little mangled body and piles of feathers, but the thought of the meat being taken home to a nest of baby Devils or Quolls is comforting.

I have friends who have lost chooks to dogs and feral cats and they have now set up an electric fence around the enclosure because it doesn't have a roof. We have taken great pains to secure our chook house and are vigilant in locking the door each night.
