2006:

THE WEDDING
On May 14, 2006, Gabriel married his sweetheart Penny. It was done in style in the motherland. That's right, Gabriel went back to his Italian roots and married Penny in a civil ceremony in Siena, Tuscany. It was a beautiful event with the townsfolk of Siena all on hand to congratulate them as the newly married couple entered the town square of Siena, known as Piazza Del Campo. 

"It was a great way to enter married life with Penny and going to Italy and eloping was heaps cheaper than your typical Calabrese wedding down under," says Gabriel!!


SHOW US YOUR ROOTS DVD
The DVD of the phenomenon of Show Us Your Roots was released in December 2005. As well as featuring Gabriel Rossi, other acts included on the DVD are guys like Tahir, Hung Le and Tommy Dean just to name a few. 2006 MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL
Gabriel gets another great review in the 2006 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Here's what Michelle Johnson from the Age On-line wrote about Gabriel Rossi's "Gift of the Gab":-

"...Gabriel Rossi's material was refreshingly new - offering witty and candid perceptions of sexist and racist behaviour, his ethnic background and his old life as a salesman.

Gift of the Gab indeed he has, firing quick, lead-laden shots at those who dared heckle and providing some personal insights into his failed marriage.  

He wrapped up his set with a couple of his now trademark suburb songs, including "Lalor" and "Dromana", and turned Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" into a country song with great success..."

GOLFING NEWS

Gabriel's golfing feats: He achieved the lifelong dream of most golfers by shooting his first ever hole-in-one on December 10, 2005 playing in a Stableford event at his home club of Northern Golf Club at the 172m par 3 fourth hole, and then went on to remarkably repeat the effort 20 days later at the 139m par 3 fourteenth hole!
