ACT SR CLUB 56 - The 2010 KVR is ON
PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE FOR THE KVR...sorry for any inconvenience :).
The event will once again be centred around the Glenmack Caravan Park at Kangaroo Valley NSW and this year will be held over the period 7 May (Fri), 8 and 9 May 2010.
This year we are again inviting owners of Kawasaki W650s, in all their various guises to come along as invited guests.
There are cabins available and caravans and camp sites for those who wish to bring their own… booking early for the cabins is essential.
Accommodation can be arranged by ringing Dion at the campground on (02) 4465 1372. Mention that you’re from the Yam SR500 Club.
The tariffs for the park are listed here, ‘offpeak’ rate:
* Linen for the cabins is $10 per person extra.
The KVR is a low key, fun event and an opportunity for people to get to know the Northern SR riders and to check out some nice bikes. It is as usual ‘bring and organise your own’ everything.
ACT people will ride down en-masse on the Friday.
Others should aim to arrive at before 1200 on Saturday …there will be a ‘make your own way’ ride to the Robertson Pie Shop leaving between 1200 and 1300.
We will then return again to the campground for a peer judging of the attending bikes.
Judging will be for the best standard SR, best modified SR, longest distance ridden to the rally on an SR and SR 'most in need of TLC'. There will also be categories for the W650 and some others.
The prizes for the judging categories will be presented once the results are tallied.
Saturday night dinner will be at whatever venue you like, probably the local KV pub, again nothing arranged.
On Sunday morning we'll adjourn for breakfast at a local eaterie...all at your own discression and expense.
After much discussing of SRs and other important things, people can make their way home when they feel like it from there.
